Control is a film about Joy Division singer Ian Curtis, based on the book Touching from a Distance, written by Curtis’ widow Deborah who co-produced the film, it is directed by Anton Corbijn. Control premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won several awards, and went on to win British Independent Film Award, Best Film at the Evening Standard British Film Awards, and the British Academy Film Awards.
